"A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey

Recommended by Shira

This book depicted the struggles of an addict in a rehabilitation center. The main character is a 23 year old who has been an alcohol for ten years, and a crack addict for 3. He goes to a residential treatment center on the verge of death, and over the course of the book comes to terms with his issues and starts to begin the process of recovery. Most people wouldn't like how the book ends, but I like it because it was realistic and gave the reader more knowledge about dealing with addiction and the hardships that come along with it.
